Abstract
The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method (100) for determining a power flow (80) in a physical power network (50), wherein the power network (50) comprising a first node (1, 3) and at least a second node (2, 4) which are connected via at least a physical edge (51, 52, 53, 53) on which the power flow is transmitted, comprising:- constructing (102) a virtual network (70) comprising at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74, 75) between the first node (1, 3) and the second node (2, 4), wherein the at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74, 75) is the result of a determined number of a direct physical connection between the first node (1, 3) and the second node (2, 4) of the physical power network (50), wherein the direct physical connection comprising at least one physical edge (51, 52, 53, 54) and wherein at least one virtual power flow (75) is flowing over said at least virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74);- determining (104) at least one transmission constraint parameter (77) for the at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74) between the first node (1, 3) and the second node (2, 4) by determining a sum of all virtual power flows (75) flowing over the at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74), wherein the transmission constraint parameter (77) for the at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74) is equal or smaller than a defined technical power constraint parameter (76) for the at least one physical edge (51, 52, 53, 54);- determining (106) the physical power flow (80) for the at least one physical edge (51, 52, 53, 54) of the physical network (50) based on the determined at least one transmission constraint parameter for the at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74), wherein the determined physical power flow on the at least one physical edge (51, 52, 53, 54) represents the sum of determined virtual power flows (75) on the at least one virtual edge (71, 72, 73, 74) that corresponds to the at least physical edge (51, 52, 53, 54).
