Abstract

A method and a controller for controlling a filter cell comprising a DC intermediate circuit (Cf), an input (IN) of the filter (10) cell being coupled to a phase output (AC) of a phase leg (21) of an inverter (20) and the filter cell being configured to be controllable to connect the input of the filter cell to an output of the filter cell via the DC intermediate circuit (Cf) and to alternatively connect the input of the filter cell to the output of the filter cell such that the DC intermediate circuit is bypassed, wherein the filter cell (10) is controlled to connect the input of the filter cell to the output of the filter cell such that the DC intermediate circuit (Cf) is bypassed in response to an absolute value of a reference signal of the phase leg (21) of the inverter (20) being within a predetermined range.
