Abstract
The present disclosure relates to the field of neural data processing, and in particular to methods, a system and an electronic device for neural data compression, decompression, transmission and reception. The neural data compression method includes: preprocessing neural data to achieve code distribution centered around zero; using an autoregressive model to reshape the code distribution of the neural data; and performing entropy coding on the reshaped neural data to obtain compressed data. Through the compression method provided by the present disclosure, data transmission efficiency is enhanced: the preprocessing and the entropy coding can significantly lower storage space and transmission bandwidth requirements for the data. It is particularly important for a neural interface device that produces a large amount of data, and significant advantages exist in both local storage and transmission to a host through a network.
