Abstract
Methods and apparatus are provided for refinement of a spatio-temporal motion vector candidate. In one embodiment, refining a temporal motion vector with forward projection is performed. In another embodiment, the refinement also comprises a backward projection with temporal motion vector predictor of a central point. In another embodiment, the refinement further comprises a temporal refinement. Another embodiment comprises the above embodiments and further comprising a set of positions to forward project defined in a collocated picture.
