Abstract

Gaze signaling in an avatar representation format. A method including: receiving, with a decoder, an eye animation stream format and animation data, determining, with the decoder, whether the eye animation stream format is supported by the decoder, responsive to determining that the eye animation stream format is supported by the decoder, determining, with the decoder, whether the animation data includes an eye set that is supported by the eye animation stream format, responsive to determining that the animation data includes the eye set that is supported by the eye animation stream format, determining, with the decoder, whether the animation data includes gaze properties associated with the eye set, and ,responsive to determining that the animation data includes the gaze properties associated with the eye set, initiating, with the decoder, an animation of an avatar with the animation data and the gaze properties.
