Abstract

A control apparatus detects a subject from an image captured by an imaging unit, determines a predetermined composition for capturing the detected subject, and controls pan, tilt, and zoom of the imaging unit so that the detected subject is captured with the predetermined composition. The control apparatus determines the predetermined composition by combining two or more compositions selected from among a first composition based on a plurality of subjects, a second composition based on an orientation of the subject, a third composition based on a posture of the subject, and a fourth composition based on a predetermined set region.
