Abstract

Providing a safer X-ray inspection apparatus. The X-ray inspection apparatus (10) includes a conveyor (12) to convey a product, an X-ray irradiator (13) to irradiate X-rays generated by an X-ray tube (132a) on the product, a line sensor (14) to detect the X-rays irradiated on the product, a controller (20) to output, to the X-ray irradiator, a first voltage value and a first current value, which respectively are the value of a voltage and the value of a current which are to be inputted to the X-ray tube, so that the output of the X-ray tube is equal to or less than a maximum output, and an electric power controller (134) configured as a component separate from the controller. In a case where the output of the X-ray tube exceeds the maximum output when the current at the current value outputted from the controller is inputted to the X-ray tube, the electric power controller restricts the current inputted to the X-ray tube independently from the controller so that the output of the X-ray tube is equal to or less than the maximum output.
