Abstract

A method for preparing a solar cell (100) includes providing an N-type silicon substrate (11) with alternating first regions (A1) and second regions (A2) on a first surface (11a). A first stack (12) including a first tunneling layer (121), a boron-doped polysilicon layer (122), and a first mask layer (123) is formed and selectively removed in second regions (A2) and intermediate regions (G) to create arc-shaped grooves (11r). A second stack (13) with a phosphorus-doped polysilicon layer (132) is then deposited over the entire first side. After removing wrap-around coating on the second surface (11b), portions of the second stack (13) are removed from first regions (A1) and intermediate regions (0). Finally, both mask layers (123, 133) are stripped.
