Abstract
A machine (M) for forming segments for the industry of smoking articles, comprising a feeding station (100) configured to feed a first web (N) along an advancing direction (A) and a collection station (200) having a converging conduit (20) configured to receive the first web (N) and collect it. The machine (M) further comprises a wrapping station (300) configured to receive the first web (N) in a collected form and to wrap it with a second web (L) of wrapping material, thus forming a continuous rod (B). The machine (M) further comprises a cutting station (400) configured to cut the continuous rod (B) into segments (S) having a predefined length. The converging conduit (20) is defined at the bottom by a guiding body (21), and is defined at the top by a cover element (22) comprising a lower surface (22a) made of at least two materials having different surface characteristics.
