Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of achieving stable noise reduction in an image having various luminance values. A control device 121 calculates a relationship between luminance values in an X-ray image and a statistical value of the luminance values, acquires an X-ray image to be processed, specifies an outlier pixel that deviates from a trend of output fluctuation indicated by the statistical value, derived on the basis of a luminance value of each pixel of the X-ray image and the relationship, using an evaluation value relating to fluctuation in the luminance value calculated for each pixel of the X-ray image, and processes the image using a filter that reduces the fluctuation in the luminance value for the outlier pixel in the X-ray image.
