Abstract

Described is a method for making a covered articulated prosthesis (10) in an operating room, comprising the steps of:Preparing an articular prosthesis (11) designed to replace, partly or completely, the functionality of a joint;Providing a covering chamber (3);Positioning at least one portion of the articular prosthesis (11) inside the covering chamber (3);Introducing a quantity of a substance inside the covering chamber (3), covering the portion of articular prosthesis (11);Waiting for a predetermined time for the solidification of the substance injected into the covering chamber (3), creating a covering around the stretch of articular prosthesis (11) positioned in the covering chamber (3) to obtain the covered articular prosthesis;Releasing the covered articular prosthesis from the covering chamber (3) at the end of the predetermined time for the solidification;Discarding the covering chamber (3) after releasing the covered articular prosthesis.
