Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a Myrtus communis hydrolysate comprising the enzymatic hydrolysis of an aqueous extract of Myrtus communis successively with a cellulase and with a protease. The present invention also relates to a Myrtus communis hydrolysate that is obtainable with such process, to a cosmetic composition comprising the hydrolysate and to their use for skin whitening. The invention also relates to a method for skin whitening comprising topically applying said hydrolysate or the cosmetic composition comprising it.
