Abstract
The present application relates to a tool discrimination device for discriminating a tool attached to a tip of a robot arm in order to perform processing on a workpiece conveyed on a conveyance device. The tool discrimination device creates differential image data based on first image data obtained by imaging a background and second image data obtained by imaging the tool together with the background. By comparing the differential image data with registered image data registered in advance corresponding to the tool, it is determined whether a tool condition regarding at least one of a type or a state of the tool is satisfied.
