Abstract

A film-applying machine is described for laying a plastic film on an object. The machine comprises a guide for guiding a foil, to be coated with the protective film, along an advance path that extends along a first axis; pressing means mounted movable relative to the guide for pushing the protective film against the foil to make them adhere; and an organ that is adapted to receive and retain a hem of protective film and movable relative to the pressing means to move along the first axis between the pressing means and the guide to bring the hem fixed thereon from one side of the pressing means to the opposite side and thus create a section of protective film parallel to the foil.
