Abstract

A bicycle sprocket comprising an outer ring comprising a first material and including: a plurality of teeth formed along an outer circumference of the outer ring, a plurality of through holes formed in a region of the outer ring located at a distance from the centre of the sprocket less than the radius of the outer circumference; an inner ring comprising a second material, different from and lighter than the first material, and a connection portion configured to fix the inner ring to a spider or a crank arm, wherein the inner ring extends into the through holes and is permanently fixed to the outer ring without the use of external fastening elements, and wherein the connection portion is entirely made from the second material and does not include the first material.
