Abstract

The invention relates to an aliphatic polyamide (PA) comprising at least 30.0 mol% of 9X recurring units formed from the condensation of 1,9-nonanediamine (C9) and one or more dicarboxylic acids (DI) of formula HOOC-X-COOH, this proportion in mol% being relative to the total amount of recurring units in the polyamide (PA), wherein X designates -(CH<2>)<x>-where x is an integer varying from 4 to 18 or Cy and comprising (i) end-groups of formula -NH<2> and/or -COOH and (ii) end-groups of formula (I) -C(=O)-NR<1>-(CH<2>)<x>-NR<2>R<3>, where x is an integer of from 1 to 10; R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are H or CH<3>, respectively and at least one of R<1>, R<2> and R<3> is CH<3>, the proportion of 9X recurring units being based on the total amount of recurring units in the polyamide (PA).
