Abstract

A method for producing a resin dispersion liquid containing at least water and a water-insoluble resin, the method including steps [b] and [c] described below, wherein a mixture obtained after completion of step [b] has a viscosity of 4.0 × 10⁵ mPa·s or less, and a content ratio (mass ratio) of water to the water-insoluble resin in the mixture is 2.0 or less: step [b]: a first addition step of adding and mixing water with the water-insoluble resin which is in a liquid state at 73°C or lower under atmospheric pressure; and step [c]: a second addition step of adding and mixing water with a mixture obtained in step [b].
