Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for screening active compounds to prevent and/or treat the signs of skin ageing, said method comprising at least the step of measuring the level of expression of miR-383, and/or PCLAF and/or TTK in a cell or tissue sample and comparing it with a control level. It further relates to the use of a modulator that inhibits the expression of miR-383; and/or induces, directly or indirectly, the expression of PCLAF and/or TTK prevent and/or treat the signs of skin ageing, to prevent and/or reverse dermal fibroblast senescence in the skin of an individual. The invention further relates to a method for evaluating the efficacy of a cosmetic treatment against the signs of skin ageing and to an in vitro or ex vivo method of diagnosing skin ageing.
