Abstract
The polymeric component contains a substrate (1) made of a matrix material selected from the group of polymers with a service temperature of at least 120°C, including PEEK, PEI, PI. At least portion of the surface of the substrate (1) has a surface roughness of Rz = 50 to 125 µm and is covered with a composite coating (2) having a thickness of 100 µm to 1200 µm. The composite coating (2) is applied using the electric arc spray technology (TWAS) and is composed of mixed particles of material 1 and material 2. Material 1 is selected from the group of materials including Zn, ZnAl, ZnCu, ZnMg, ZnAlMgCu. Material 2 is selected from the group of materials including stainless steel with a maximum of 15% by weight of Cr, Mg, Cu, Ni, Si, Al, Sn, CuSn, CuAl, NiAl. On the composite coating (2), there may be a protective functional layer (3) with a thickness of 100 µm to 350 µm made from material 3 - metals, alloys, or ceramics. The functional layer (3) can be applied using the methods HVOF, APS, TWAS, or CS.
