Abstract

This invention relates to the field of household appliance technologies, and specifically, to a door body (100) for a household appliance, including: a cover (110) having a front surface (111) and a side surface (112); a light emitting unit (120), preferably implemented as a strip structure having a plurality of light emitting bodies (121); and a light guide unit (130), configured to enable light emitted by the light emitting unit (120) to be conducted along the light guide unit (130) to form light effects on both the front surface (111) and the side surface (112) of the cover (110). According to embodiments of this invention, the light effects can be formed on both the front surface and the side surface of the door body for a household appliance, thereby providing an excellent large-range light effect combination, and providing exceptional visual experience for a user.
