Abstract

The present invention provides a control system (100) for an engine including a distributed electronic assembly (102). The distributed electronic assembly (102) includes a first electronic substrate (104) and a second electronic substrate (106) different from the first electronic substrate (104). The first electronic substrate (104) is configured with a first sectored architecture comprising a plurality of first sectors (108), and the second electronic substrate (106) is configured with a second sectored architecture comprising a plurality of second sectors (110). Further, communication between the first electronic substrate (104) and the second electronic substrate (106) is performed through electrical interface harnesses (112), thereby enabling coordinated and hassle-free operation of electronic modules positioned at different locations relative to the engine.
