Abstract

A 6-way valve and a system for providing heating to a fluid stream (e. g. for providing domestic hot water and/or space heating) is provided. The 6-way valve comprises or consists of a valve body (7) which has a first port (1), a second port (2), a third port (3), a fourth port (4), a fifth port (5) and a sixth port (6), and a switching means (14, 15) which is located within the valve body. The switching means is suitable to switch the 6-way valve into a first position (9) in which a first fluidic connection (11) between the first port and the second port, a second fluidic connection (12) between the third port and fourth port, and a third fluidic connection (13) between the fifth port and the sixth port is established, and is suitable to switch the 6-way valve into a second position (10) in which a first fluidic connection (11) between the first port and the fourth port, a second fluidic connection (12) between the second port and fifth port, and a third fluidic connection (13) between the third port and the sixth port is established, wherein the first, second and third fluidic connections, respectively, are fluidically separate from each other.
