Abstract

Certain examples provide a computer-implemented method (100) for managing modifications to map data of a digital map, the method comprising: receiving (101), at a first apparatus (201) from a second apparatus (202), a first map data modification (D301_1); determining (102) whether the first map data modification is associated with a set (302) of one or more map data modifications (D301_n) stored in a database (201 DB) of the first apparatus or accessible by the first apparatus, the set (302) of one or more map data modifications (D301_n) having a timer period (303QT) assigned thereto, wherein the timer period represents an amount of time until the one or more map data modifications of the set is to be sent to a third apparatus (203); in response to determining that the first map data modification is associated with the set: adding (103) the first map data modification to the set to form a modified set (302'), and modifying (104) the timer period to form a modified timer period (303QT') assigned to the modified set; determining (105) whether the modified timer period assigned to the modified set has expired, in response to determining that the modified timer period assigned to the modified set has expired, sending (106) the map data modifications (D301_n') of the modified set to the third apparatus (203).
