Abstract

A seal inspection apparatus includes a contact portion that contacts the commodity transported by the transport conveyor, an elevating portion that changes a height position of the contact portion, a detecting portion 50 that detects a displacement amount of the height position of the contact portion when the commodity is in contact with the contact portion, an inspection portion 60 that inspects a seal state, and a control portion 70 that controls an elevating operation of the contact portion by the elevating portion and stops transport by the transport conveyor such that the commodity is positioned at an inspection position where contact by the contact portion is performed. The control portion 70 calculates a start timing for starting a lowering operation of the contact portion by the elevating portion, based on a stop timing for stopping the transport by the transport conveyor and a contact timing at which the contact portion contacts the commodity.
