Abstract
A filtering method is proposed for processing a time signal X by temporal noise reduction. It comprises at least the following steps: at each instant k, selecting a candidate variable when the current value x<sub>(n,m)</sub>(k,p) of the time signal X is included in the current value of a corresponding confidence interval; updating a current value of occurrence scores; when the current value x<sub>(n,m)</sub>(k,p) is only included in the corresponding confidence interval, then determining a current value of the selected candidate variable by averaging its precedent value at the preceding instant k-1 with the current value x<sub>(n,m)</sub>(k,p); providing a filtered value xf<sub>(n,m)</sub>(k,p) of the time signal X at the current instant k, as being equal to the current value of the candidate variable having the highest occurrence score.
