Abstract

An information processing apparatus extracts a subset of vector data from a vector database. The information processing apparatus calculates the value of a predetermined statistical indicator using the extracted subset of the vector data. The information processing apparatus generates a function for obtaining the amount of resources to be used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator for the vector database, based on a first resource amount used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator using the subset of the vector data. Then, the information processing apparatus calculates, using the generated function, a second resource amount to be used for calculating the value of the statistical indicator for the vector database.
