Abstract

Provided is an apparatus comprising a processor, wherein the processor performs: performing an acquisition process by acquiring a first data group including a plurality of first feature vectors; a dimensionality reduction process of generating a plurality of second data groups each including a plurality of second feature vectors obtained by performing a dimensionality reduction on at least a part of the plurality of first feature vectors, the plurality of second data groups differing in a number of dimensions reduced; a first calculation process by calculating an evaluation value resulting from performing clustering on each of the plurality of second data groups; and a first determination process by determining a dimension number after a dimensionality reduction that should be applied to a first feature vector based on an evaluation value calculated for each of the plurality of second data groups.
