Abstract

The present invention refers to a computer-implemented method for verifying the identity of an electronic device (10). The method comprises the steps of initiating a screen capturing session of the electronic device (10) for capturing a screen (11) of the electronic device (10), instructing the display of the device identifier on a screen (11) of the electronic device (10) during the screen capturing session in response to/upon receiving an input signal, receiving at least one image of the captured screen (11) of the electronic device (10); and processing the at least one image for capturing the device identifier of the electronic device (10). The input signal indicates the completion of an action by the user. The action triggers a device identifier of the electronic device (10) to be displayed on the screen (11).
