Abstract

The present disclosure involves methods (200), apparatus, and systems (100, 300) for multi-layer noise generation in differential privacy (DP). This can include identifying (202) an SQL query; performing (206) an SQL rewrite of the SQL query by replacing at least one process with a DP process; executing (208) the SQL query, and while executing the SQL query injecting noise during the DP process by: generating (210A) random noise; generating (210B, 210C) fixed noise; combining (210D), as combined noise, the random noise and the fixed noise in a weighted sum; and injecting the combined noise during the DP process.
