Abstract

Methods, systems, and computer program products for terminating malware execution on an endpoint computing device include generating a shadow process data structure on an endpoint computing device; creating a malware detection record based upon a received malware verdict; detecting one or more software processes in the shadow process data structure associated with a malware process identified in the malware verdict; for each detected software process being executed: initiating a process termination request for the detected software process and updating the malware detection record based upon acceptance or rejection of the process termination request, and determining whether a malware termination operation on the endpoint computing device is complete based on the malware detection record.
