Abstract

Methods, systems, and computer storage media for providing an adaptive pricing and inventory engine in an item listing system are described. The adaptive pricing and inventory engine supports dynamic pricing optimization by integrating real-time condition assessment and market-driven pricing adjustments. The adaptive pricing and inventory engine begins with AR/MR visual recognition, which scans items, segments damaged areas, and extracts condition-related features. Machine learning then analyzes the image data to generate a damage score, ensuring an objective assessment for price adjustments. The system aggregates market data, including competitor pricing, historical sales, and buyer demand, to inform dynamic pricing decisions. The machine learning price prediction engine processes these inputs to generate an optimized price recommendation, which is presented through an interactive seller interface. Sellers can manually adjust or automate pricing updates, while the system continuously updates marketplace listings in real time to maintain competitive pricing based on evolving demand and inventory conditions.
