Abstract

The invention provides a system and method for secure, intent-based authentication in access control applications, ensuring access is granted only when a user's natural movement and environmental conditions are verified. It prevents relay attacks and position spoofing by integrating motion trajectory analysis with wireless signal authentication. The system includes a user device (smartphone or wearable) equipped with inertial sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer) and short-range wireless communication (BLE, UWB). It interacts with external and internal stationary devices at the access point, which facilitate wireless authentication and environmental verification. A processing unit evaluates movement patterns and signal data to define an authentication signature. The method involves detecting and verifying a user's motion trajectory and environmental conditions while approaching an access point. By ensuring authentication signals alone are insufficient, the invention enhances security and user convenience, particularly in hands-free access control environments, effectively preventing unauthorized access.
