Abstract

A computer-implemented system and method for automated Pilot Weather Report (PIREP) submission and dissemination is disclosed. The system monitors air traffic control communication frequencies and receives manual pilot submissions to capture live audio communications containing potential PIREP data. The captured audio is subjected to noise reduction and audio enhancement processing before being transcribed using an aviation-specific speech recognition engine. Natural language processing algorithms analyze the transcribed text to detect PIREP-related keywords and extract structured aviation data including location, altitude, aircraft type, and observed weather phenomena. A machine learning-based anomaly detection validation engine cross-references the extracted data against real-time external aviation data sources to confirm accuracy. An interactive user interface displays active PIREPs on a dynamic map and provides tailored location-based weather alerts to registered users.
