Abstract
A display device and a driving method thereof are provided. The display device includes a pixel array (110) and a data driver circuit (130). The data driver circuit is coupled to pixel data lines in the pixel array. The data driver circuit includes a data driver chip (210) and a data multiplexer (220). The data multiplexer includes multiplexer circuits (221-i). Each multiplexer circuit includes a first transistor (T1, T4), a bootstrap capacitor (Cbsti), a diode (T2, T5), and a second transistor (T3, T6). The first transistor is coupled to one pixel data line (Data_IN_Di) and one chip data line (DATA_IC_Di). The bootstrap capacitor is coupled between a second terminal and the control terminal of the first transistor. The diode is coupled between the control terminal of the first transistor and a first control line. The data multiplexer may be combined with gate bootstrap circuits or pixel voltage bootstrap circuits to form a system-level low-voltage driving solution.
