Abstract
A hybrid foil winding (1) for a transformer comprises a foil conductor element (2) surrounding a longitudinal axis (L) of the winding (1), an inter turn insulation element (6) surrounding the longitudinal axis (L) of the winding (1), and an electrically conductive ring portion (3, 4) that is electrically coupled to the conductor element (2) and that is arranged between the conductor element (2) and the inter turn insulation element (6) with respect to a stacking direction (R) of the winding (1) transverse to the longitudinal axis (L). The hybrid foil winding (1) further comprises an insulation portion (5) that is arranged adjacent to the ring portion (3, 4) with respect to the longitudinal axis (L) and between the conductor element (2) and the inter turn insulation element (6) with respect to the stacking direction (R).
