Abstract

There is disclosed herein a method (100) implemented in a grid forming control system (1) of a power converter (20) being connected to an electrical power network (10). The grid forming control system comprises a synchronization unit (12) providing a back electromotive force, EMF voltage to a virtual admittance controller (14) and a current limiter (16). The method comprises determining (110) a non-limited power parameter based on a non-limited current obtained from the virtual admittance controller and a back electromotive force voltage, determining (120) a limited power parameter based on a limited current obtained from the current limiter and a measured voltage, and providing (130) a power deceleration parameter based on the non-limited power parameter and the limited power parameter, wherein an input to the synchronization unit is based on the power deceleration parameter. The present disclosure further relates to a grid forming control system and an electrical power network system.
