Abstract
The present invention provides a reset circuit and chip, in which a single voltage divider circuit can output both first and second tap voltages in response to a power supply voltage of the system. A POR function is provided during power-on of the system by comparing a first tap voltage with a first reference voltage using a first comparator. A BOR function is provided during operation of the system by comparing a second tap voltage with a second reference voltage using a second comparator. Thus, in the reset circuit of the present invention, the POR and BOR functions are provided based on shared use of the single voltage divider circuit, resulting in circuit area and cost savings.
