Abstract

A method performed by an electronic device includes receiving an input data stream, loading a set of first elements among a set of elements of the input data stream to a first buffer, generating one or more bit vectors based on a comparison between the set of first elements in the first buffer and a set of second elements in a second buffer among the set of elements of the input data stream, determining a match length corresponding to a bit sequence that satisfies a determined match condition based on the one or more bit vectors, determining a mismatch length corresponding to a bit sequence that satisfies a determined mismatch condition based on the one or more bit vectors, and generating compressed data for the input data stream based on the match length and the mismatch length.
