Abstract
In one implementation, a method of video encoding is provided, comprising: obtaining a first parameter indicative of a quantization step size corresponding to a quantization parameter of a block, said first parameter is an adjusted version of a second parameter indicative a different quantization step size corresponding to the quantization parameter of the block, wherein the second parameter is scaled to obtain the first parameter; quantizing transform coefficients based on the first parameter to form quantized transform coefficients; and entropy coding the quantized transform coefficients for the block.
