Abstract
A video coding device such as a video decoder or a video encoder may determine a block vector (BV) for a current pixel of a current video block and obtain, based on the BV, one or more reference samples for the current pixel. The coding device may reconstruct the current pixel of the current video block to obtain a reconstructed current pixel and apply an adaptive loop filter (ALF) to the reconstructed current pixel, wherein an input to the ALF may be determined based on the one or more reference samples obtained using the BV.
