Abstract

A photoelectric conversion device (100) includes a plurality of avalanche photodiodes (201-1, 201-2), a plurality of microlenses (ML), a first counter (220-1) configured to count a first pulsed signal based on a photon incident on a first avalanche photodiode (201-1) of the plurality of avalanche photodiodes (201-1, 201-2), a second counter (220-2) configured to count a second pulsed signal based on a photon incident on a second avalanche photodiode (201-2) of the plurality of avalanche photodiodes (201-1, 201-2), and a third counter (220-12) configured to count a combined pulsed signal generated by combining the first pulsed signal and the second pulsed signal. One of the plurality of microlenses (ML) is arranged to guide a photon incident thereon to the first avalanche photodiode (201-1) and the second avalanche photodiode (201-2).
