Abstract

Method for detecting a sensory overload of a user with a hearing device comprising the following steps of, measuring an acoustic property value of an audio input to detect whether there is acoustically induced stress, and measuring a motion property value to detect whether there is behavioral stress of the user, and selecting an acoustic stimulus that is configured to modify a sound processing of the audio input and convert it to an audio output if the acoustic property value is equal to or above a predetermined acoustic property threshold value and/or if the motion property value is equal to or above a predetermined motion property threshold value, and modifying the sound processing with the acoustic stimulus, and re-measuring the acoustic property value and the motion property value and verifying whether the re-measured motion property value is lower than the motion property value measured at step b).
