Abstract

A multi-lane printer for printing rigids and a method therefor. The print controller of the multi-lane printer comprises a first print queue comprises a first group of print jobs to be printed on print media which is intended to be left aligned in a lane, a second print queue comprises a second group of print jobs to be printed on print media which is intended to be right aligned in a lane, and a single print queue comprising both the first and the second group of print jobs. The single print queue is shown on the user interface in a single queue view. The first and second queue together are shown in a dual queue view on the use interface screen. The method provides rules for ordering the print jobs when switching between the single queue view and the dual queue view.
