Abstract

A system is disclosed for detecting discharges in an electric equipment, the system comprising a first metallic conductor and a second metallic conductor which are spaced apart from each other and being configured for having an electric potential between each other. The system further comprises a third metallic conductor, placed between the first and second conductor. A galvanic connection electrically connects the third conductor with the first conductor through a resistor. The system further comprises a detection unit for detecting a current flow through the galvanic connection caused by a discharge through the gap between the second and third conductors.
