Abstract

A method for programming railway balises (3) along a track (2) comprises the steps of identifying at least one balise (3) to be programmed along the track (2) on the basis of preset data, programming a programming unit (4) in turn configured to program the at least one balise (3), arranging the programming unit (4) on board a mobile unit (1) to be moved with respect to the track (2) until reaching the at least one balise (3), identifying the at least one balise (3) by means of a detection system, verifying that the at least one tracked balise (3) corresponds to a balise to be programmed, stopping the advancement of the mobile unit (1) and positioning it in close proximity to the at least one balise (3), centring the programming unit (4) with respect to the balise (3), executing programming of the at least one balise (3) by means of a wireless data transmission between the programming unit (4) and the at least one balise (3), verifying correct reception and storage of the transmitted data.
