Abstract
Method for the manufacture of a glass tube with closed ends and a ventilation hole, comprising the steps of providing a glass tube with open ends, opening a ventilation hole in a wall of the glass tube near one of the ends of the glass tube, closing a first end of the glass tube, closing a second end of the glass tube, and introducing a gas into the glass tube through the ventilation hole with a radial gas supply, during at least one of the closings of the first or second end of the glass tube.
