Abstract

A home or personal care composition comprising a polymeric surfactant comprising a repeating unit of f formula I: <img class="EMIRef" id="16b113f3-e443-4267-9fb4-75935da18c21-ia01" /> Wherein n is a number 0 to 150; J is O, or alkylene C2-C22, C-R'R" in which R' and R" are independently selected from H or (1-10C) alkyl group; X is: i) a group X<1> of structure: <img class="EMIRef" id="16b113f3-e443-4267-9fb4-75935da18c21-ia02" /> or ii) a group X<2> of structure: <img class="EMIRef" id="16b113f3-e443-4267-9fb4-75935da18c21-ia03" /> in which L<1> is a linker separating the two carbonyl groups by a distance of 3-4 bond lengths; or iii) a group X<3> of structure: <img class="EMIRef" id="16b113f3-e443-4267-9fb4-75935da18c21-ia04" /> in which L<4> is a linker separating at least two of the four carbonyl groups by a minimum of 3 bond lengths; R<1> is H, C1-C22 alkyl, C2-C22 alkenyl, SO<3>- , SO<3>H, R<2> or Y; R<2> is a group: <img class="EMIRef" id="16b113f3-e443-4267-9fb4-75935da18c21-ia05" /> each R<3> is independently H or Y; and Y is a group of structure: in which L<2> is a linker separating the two carbonyl groups by a distance of 3-4 bond lengths.
