Abstract

A home care or personal care composition comprising a polymeric rheology modifier comprising a repeating unit of formula I:wherein:n is a number 0 to 150;J is O, or alkylene C2-C22, C-R'R" in which R' and R" are independently selected from H, or (1-10C) alkyl group,Xis:i) a group X¹ of structure:orii) a group X² of structure:in which L¹ is a linker;iii) a group X³ of structure:in which L⁴ is a linker separating at least two of the four carbonyl groups by a minimum of 3 bond lengths;R¹ is H, C1-C22 alkyl, C2-C22 alkenyl, R², SO₃^-, SO₃H, or Y;R² is a group:each R³ is independently H or Y; andY is a group of structure:in which L² is a linker separating the two carbonyl groups by a distance of 3-5 bond lengths.by a distance of 3-4 bond lengths.
