Abstract
Provided is a method for manufacturing a slab, the method being capable of manufacturing a slab by determining occurrence of delayed cracking of the slab cooled under a predetermined cooling condition.The method for manufacturing a slab includes performing cooling under a cooling condition under which a ductile-to-brittle transition temperature of the slab that is cast and cut becomes equal to or less than a threshold determined in advance, thereby manufacturing the slab.
