Abstract
The disclosure describes assembly clips (200; 300; 400; 500) for use in attaching brush seals (100) to static hardware components (160; 165) during the assembling of gas turbine engines (20). The clips (200; 300; 400; 500) are made of plastic which melts and vaporize during operation of the engine (20). The temporary clips (200; 300; 400; 500) provide an efficient means for attaching brush seals (100) to subassemblies of gas turbine engines (20) and which reduce or eliminate the potential for foreign object damage or domestic object damage risks.
